EDIT: dulled and darkened the highlights of her clothing folds. As I mentioned in the step by step thingie, The bright, super prominent folds were bugging me... It looked like her robe was made out of some kind of a super shiny material like satin... or worse, PVC. :ohnoes:

:bulletorange: The COLORS LOOK SOOO DIFFERENT from the original PSD file. No, saving it in PNG doesn't help. I'm just gonna sit here and hope you guys have the right monitor/ settings/ etc for viewing my art -- ultimately, there is so much outside of my power that affects the colors. :S

:bulletorange: My entry for this art contest [link] Please wish me luck! :eager:

:bulletorange: Painted in Adobe Photoshop CS4 from scratch as usual.

Ahhh, very beautiful! Consistent or not, the lighting is spectacular, the emotion is clear, and the stained glass window is great! :D Good luck in the contest!

So, basically, 98% of people did something. 2% didn't and decided to brag about it by copying and pasting it into their signature.

If you're part of the 2% who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous/pointless, copy and paste this into your signature.

A cat falls in a pool; a rooster laughs. The moral of the story? A wet pussy makes a cock feel good.

Shit happens when you party naked.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle...

Despite your concerns about the appearance of the piece on a computer monitor, it looks absolutely incredible. The colours are, as with all of your work, remarkably vivid and give it a particular living quality. The contrast between the red light outside and shining through the window, and the cold blues and greys inside and on the girl's skin is especially intriguing, and enhances the pathos of the character and her situation.

Or, to stop being pretentious, it's spectacular. I do have a very high end monitor though... I shall look at it on my netbook later and compare to see if it makes a difference...

I simply love the stained glass, you did such an excellent job with the lighting on the frame! I love the slight angle; I feel like the camera is some kind of monster coming to attack her.

I can't pick out what you mean about the lighting, so i'm going to say "Fantastic job". The only thing that freaks me out is the shade of purple that seems to be the main color for her eyes... I'm not sure why, it's probably just a "personal-preference" thing, I might've made her eyes darker since her face is in the shadows...

That said... I think you created a very powerful and extremely beautiful image. It possesses depth and character. I'd recommend this for a DD if it weren't a contest entry (which means it's ineligible)...

Awesome job man! :D
