In addition to their longer life-span, the Branded get some sort of special power from their laguz heritage. Stefan gets strength from his lion blood according to support conversations. Micaiah gets empathy, galdrar, etc. from her heron blood. What about Soren and his dragon blood?

Well, what are dragons known for? Their breath, right? Of course, being only half-dragon, Soren won't get any spiffy breaths. Still, his heritage may manifest through... something a bit stronger than a puff of breath.

Lesson of the day: If you're standing/sitting anywhere near Soren, and he's feeling sneezy, YOU BETTER BACK OFF LIKE RIGHT NOW.

(Note how he actually blew a hole through the sturdy wooden table... Shotgun sneeze.)



...This... seemed a lot funnier in my head when I first thought of it. >__> My only excuse is that the idea came to me in the middle of the night. Now that I'm awake-awake, this isn't nearly as funny anymore, but just as wacky, at least.

Also, there was another character on the left side of the picture, but Skrimir's mane ate him.

I thought that his Branded superpower is his smarts, but this works nicely too. Along with the fact that he is a wind sage lol.

Also, I wonder why Nasir is the only laguz who knew that Soren was a Branded, when they could supposedly sense them if they were perceptive...

I was wondering about that too. Maybe as he grew up, he learned how to "hide" his Branded-ness better (kinda like how DBZ people hide their ki? XD). Or perhaps very young children cannot make a pact with the spirits, so his mark could have meant only one thing when he was little.

Thought so. I wasn't sure about it in RD though. I haven't gotten back to that game in months, but I lost my liking to it some time after seeing the mercenaries. I just couldn't get into it. DX'

Hmm... Probably he still would, but keeping a likely distance? XD'
Makes me wonder what would happen if Soren was sick for a week... o 3o' Evil time for everyone perhaps?
I wouldn't be surprise if Soren gets a major migraine from sneezing so forcibly.

Oh wow, that is hilarious. And I rather how everyone's reaction kinda fits their character. Ike goes flying over his chair, and Skrimir just looks straight a him.

Hmm, just realized that with this and "Heron punch" you've used a cell-shaded style. It fits that your more comedic images have a 'cartoony' quality.
