Constructive critiques are welcome. Because I already spent so much time on this, I may not be able to accommodate every suggestion. But I will definitely consider every constructive critique I receive. :)

My brother says she looks like someone from Soul Calibur XD; But she's not! She is Kia Ryou's KH character named Kisara.

Painted 98% in Photoshop, 2% in Corel Painter.



Looong whining below:

I have spent close to 50 hours on this one. Can you guess which part of the picture took the longest time?

Her mouth.

Her mouth's been repainted OVER NINE THOUSAAAND times. It just didn't look right. I tried flipping the picture, coming back to the picture after sleeping, etc. but could not put my finger on what was bugging me so much. After several days of slaving over, I think I finally have something that I can live with.

Honestly, I wasn't even concerned about winning. I mean, it'd be nifty if I win (I did put a ton of effort into this, after all), but I was just so obsessed with this picture. I wanted to create something pretty, something that would make Kia happy. I don't know if this is the type of art she likes, though...

Love how the colors and the details work in this piece, this is surely a strong entry. Best of wishes on winning. ^_^

THE LIGHTING IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. And her hair strands...dress colors...eyes...roses... Frills again! :D
Although it looks like she might trip and fall into the abyss since she's looking back and she's on one side on the staircase. xD

And yes, Amy's main costume actually looks very very similar to your design. :love: About the only thing that isn't the same is how long her hair is (although the color is the same) and the shape of her weapon (obviously, there are no keyblades in SC. Hehe!)

Regarding her back -- I had stronger shading on it, but had to soften it because the lighting didn't seem consistent with the rest of the picture. DDD: I'll go back to it and see if I can improve it, though.
