Apparently the way I worded my previous journal entry was misleading? Sorry to spam your message centres, but for those of you who don't mind, here's some clarification. ^_^;

My journal entry was NOT about:
"waaah this noob sent me a mean PM and hurt my feelings!"


Neither was it about:
"I worked hard for my stuff, and I demand to be recognized!"


Instead, it was:
"People need to realize that sometimes, it's THEIR fault when they fail."


Indeed it is. I know some people truly try their best with what they got, and they still don't get anywhere. But usually, people don't succeed because of the consequences of their own choices. Lazy and/or foolish choices.

I'm aware that often, there is more than one cause behind a failure. When something bad happens, it might be partly your fault, and partly because of things outside of your control. But it's utterly unproductive to just sit there and complain about the latter. Why not analyze the different choices YOU could have made, so you won't end up in a similar situation again? Maybe you should have started your assignment early instead of playing video games. Maybe you should have listened to Friend A instead of Friend B. Maybe you should be doing something more productive than typing up some dA journal entry.

Another pitfall is when people brood over their fault (instead of blaming others) without actually making an effort to change. I'm totally guilty of this one. >_____> So I should... get off dA and start working on a picture or something, right. Doing that right nao.
